today is my first visit to cust's place to set up a network connection. shall start at morning first. actually wanna spray my hair to black but its raining heavily when i woke up. so decided not to spray. brought it to work instead and can spray before going off to onsite if time permits. so as usual, traveled to clementi all that. reached workplace only @ 915am due to bus packed and cannot squeeze in. plus jam. nowadays i have been only leaving house at 715am but ah.. always reached office only at 9am.. and i realise i'm sometimes in later then my manager. how can right? so im gonna adjust my departure time back to 7am from tmr onwards. go back to my good record, always reaching before 830am, appraisal coming... hope it will helps xD
anyway... back to my first experience. okay. as usual, preconfigured the router first. i'd done the basic config for static line. tested working fine. then Kokpin taught me how to do tunneling and explained many things to me. but ah.. i dun seem to absorb that well.. haix.. we took an hour and a half to complete the configurations. T_T had a quick makan then off to cust's place. walked a big round to the office; cos the site installation and general office is at diff building. dots. cust is friendly. so is their external SI. done the set up. tested working fine too.
then the SI took a peek at my router config when i went washroom. dammit. he aint supposed to see it. cos to cust, its supposed to be a point-to-point link but we used two lines connect via tunneling instead. so from the config, he can see it. shit man. so i called back tell Joanna nor. obviously she is not happy with it cos this aint supposed to happen. external SI somemore. haiz. super sad over this point nor. cust may not have the 100% trust in us anymore due to my neglience. dunno hows she gonna settle it with cust should the SI tell tales... apart from that.. i kinda created problem for KP too.. cust has a reqmt to block access to HQ for a range of users. didnt tell KP clearly. he blocked all access then has to undo and redo. faint. all cos of me.
taking into hand the apart, i feel this is a very 失败 onsite for me. was happy for only few minutes; thats when i set it up and tested working fine. also managed to config the basic by myself. the rest.. esp the incident letting cust see things they aint... really isnt supposed to happen. a big price to pay to learn this lesson.. dunno how to face Joanna.. sigh.. sorry! i didnt mean it! there will
NOT be a next time! if there is still next visit.. haix...
